Privacy Policy for Hexkeep
Last updated: 17 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ozcan Yesilyurt ("we", "us", "our")
collects, uses, and shares information when you play Hexkeep ("the Game"), a
mobile match-3 RPG. By playing the Game you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do
not use the Game.
1. Who we are
The Game is developed and operated by Ozcan Yesilyurt, an independent developer. For any
privacy questions or requests, contact us at hexkeepgame@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name,
email, phone number, or address. Your game progress is stored locally on your device and, to protect
it against loss, is also backed up to our cloud save service (see the "Cloud saves" item below). We
and our service providers automatically collect limited technical and usage data, including:
- Device and technical information , device model, operating system version,
language, region, app version, and general (coarse) location inferred from IP address.
- Gameplay and usage analytics , in-game events such as starting/finishing a
run, levels reached, in-game currency earned or spent, and feature usage. This helps us
understand and improve the Game.
- Crash and diagnostic data , if the Game crashes or errors, we collect crash
reports and device state (e.g. graphics driver, memory) to fix problems.
- Advertising data , a mobile advertising identifier and ad-interaction data,
used to show and measure ads (see Advertising below).
- An anonymous player identifier , a randomly generated ID created on your
device the first time you play. It lets us link your crash reports to your gameplay events so
we can reproduce a bug. It is not your name, email, or account, it is not tied to any
real-world identity, and we never attempt to link it to one.
- Purchase data , if you buy in-app items, the purchase is processed by the
app store (the Apple App Store on iOS, Google Play on
Android). We receive a record that a purchase occurred; we do not receive or
store your payment card details.
- Cloud saves , your game progress (levels, currencies, items, quest progress,
and purchase entitlements) is backed up to Google Firebase under an automatically created,
anonymous account, so your save can be restored if you reinstall the Game or move to a new
device. To make that restore possible, a randomly generated recovery credential is kept in
your device's secure storage (on iOS: the Keychain and iCloud key-value storage; on Android:
Google Play services). These identifiers exist solely for save recovery, they are never used
for advertising, and they are not tied to your real-world identity.
3. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Game and its features.
- To diagnose crashes and technical problems.
- To display and measure advertising.
- To process and deliver in-app purchases.
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.
4. Service providers we use
We use trusted third-party services that process data on our behalf. Each has its own privacy
policy:
We do not sell your personal information for money.
5. Advertising and your choices
The Game shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Depending on your region and choices, ads may be
personalized (based on your advertising identifier) or non-personalized
(based only on context).
- EEA, UK, and Switzerland: the first time you play, we show a consent message
(via Google's User Messaging Platform) asking whether we may use your data for personalized
ads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy → Manage
inside the Game.
- iOS (App Tracking Transparency): on Apple devices the Game asks for your
permission before it uses your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to track you across
other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are
non-personalized. You can change your answer at any time in
Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or turn off
Allow Apps to Request to Track to decline for every app.
- United States: you may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal
information as described in the in-game privacy options and by your device controls.
- You can also reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings (Android:
Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
6. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (for personalized ads and
analytics where required); our legitimate interests (to keep the Game working,
secure, and improving, and to show non-personalized ads); and performance of a contract
(to deliver in-app purchases you request).
7. Children's privacy
Hexkeep is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under
13 (or under the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information,
please contact hexkeepgame@gmail.com and we will delete it.
8. Data retention and deletion
Analytics and crash data are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above and according
to our service providers' standard retention periods, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
Your local game progress remains on your device until you delete the Game or clear its data. Your
cloud save is retained so it can be restored after a reinstall, and is deleted on request: see our
data deletion page for the steps.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to
access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to certain
processing, and to opt out of personalized advertising. Because we do not hold account-identifying
information, please contact us at hexkeepgame@gmail.com to
make a request (deletion steps are on our data deletion page), and use
the in-game privacy options for advertising choices.
10. International transfers
Our service providers may process data on servers located outside your country, including the
United States. Where required, they use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Security
We and our providers use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No
method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute
security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above
and, where appropriate, provide notice in the Game.
